Did you know that new long-distance trails and trail networks are being developed in our area? Have you heard of the Fonta Flora State Trail that will connect Morganton to Asheville or the Hickory Nut Gorge State Trails near Lake Lure? Each has plans for 100+ miles of trails with significant sections built. Another trail (19 miles) in the planning and design phase is the Ecusta Trail, which will connect Hendersonville and Brevard. Our panel of speakers will share information on these and other new or related trails in this region. You will likely learn about some places that you will want to explore on your own!
