There are currently about 11 miles of greenway in Buncombe County, of the 102 miles of greenways planned to connect from Weaverville to Fletcher and Enka to Black Mountain. The greenways on the ground include
5 miles in Asheville,
4 miles in Black Mountain, and
others in various locations in the county.
Recent Activity & Upcoming Projects
2016 – Feasibility Study for 191 South / I-26 E complete
2017 – Clingman Forest greenway will be started in 2017
2017 – Town Branch Greenway (3/4 mile long) funded and will be built starting in 2017
